| Activities included painting with acrylics on canvas, digital photography, collage making using the things we collected on our country walk, painting on pebbles, ceramic painting. and combining different textures in our artwork. We also looked at the work of different artists including Picasso, Monet etc and we spent a very pleasant day visiting The Lowry Centre in Salford where we were able to see some fantastic artwork by L.S.Lowry and we were able to get an insight into his life. We also looked around the exhibition of photography by 'Harold Riley'. | ||

| We visited the TV and Film museum where we were able to see how the TV cameras worked. We met some old friends from our youth namely Zippy and George from rainbow and we met a real life darlek from Doctor Who? We went to the village where Emmerdale is set and had lunch in 'The Woolpack'. We also visited the village where Last of the Summer Wine was set. We went to the cinema and we also went to the theatre to see 'West Side Story'. During our February 2008 Last of the Summer Wine Weekend break we were lucky enough to stay in Nora Batty's house. She was there broom in hand to make sure we kept the place tidy. Compo was also staying there but our holidaymakers kept him in his place. | ||
